AI scoring now covers more of your scans automatically, and it handles interruptions more gracefully.

## Automatic scoring for incomplete scan results

On paid plans, when automatic AI scoring is enabled for People or Companies, Neon Deer now scores the groups of possible duplicate Attio records that an incomplete scan has found. You no longer have to wait for all of the scan's unfinished checks to complete before those results can receive automatic scores.

When you [retry unfinished checks](https://neondeerdata.com/docs/platform/duplicate-detection/scans-and-schedules/#incomplete-scans), groups whose results change can receive fresh automatic scores. Groups with unchanged results are not scored again just because you retried the scan. Automatic scoring still uses your team's AI allowance.

A scan marked Partial can still have unchecked records. Review its progress and available results; automatic scoring does not mean the scan has checked every record.

The [AI scoring guide](https://neondeerdata.com/docs/platform/duplicate-detection/reviewing-duplicates/#ai-score) explains how to request scores, follow their progress, and interpret the evidence. Scores help you review possible duplicates; your team still decides which records to merge.
