# Calendly Sync to Attio

Sync Calendly bookings, cancellations, reschedules, no-shows and routing form submissions into Attio. Invitees and guests link to People, and form answers are stored separately.

## Setup

You need a Calendly personal access token and [Calendly Sync installed in your Attio workspace](https://attio.com/apps/calendly-events).

1. **Install Calendly Sync** Install the app from the Attio app marketplace and open its settings.
2. **Create a Calendly personal access token** Create the token in the Developer / API area of your Calendly account settings.
3. **Connect Calendly** In Attio Workspace Connections, click Add Connection, paste the token as plain text and save. The app provisions its lists and subscriptions.
4. **Choose filters** Set User Email Whitelist and Event Type Whitelist if you want to restrict coverage. Leave both empty to include all users and event types.
5. **Choose People creation** Auto-create People is on by default. Turn it off to link existing People only and skip unknown contacts.
6. **Save settings** Save to apply filters and People creation settings. New bookings and subscribed events can now sync.

## Configuration

- **User Email Whitelist:** comma-separated Calendly user emails. Only their bookings sync. Empty includes all users.
- **Event Type Whitelist:** comma-separated event slugs, UUIDs or full URIs. For example, `15min-meeting`. Empty includes all event types.
- **Auto-create People:** on by default. Turn off to restrict matching to existing People.

## Sync behavior

### Events

Bookings create entries, cancellations update status, and no-show changes update the no-show flag. Routing form submissions create their own entries with answers.

### Attio lists

- **Calendly Booking Events:** one entry per booking with event details, payment and tracking context.
- **Calendly Answers:** one entry per form question and answer, linked to the Person and parent submission.
- **Calendly Routing Form Submissions:** routing form submissions and their submitter and tracking details.

### People matching

The app matches invitees and guests by email before creating People. Auto-create People controls whether unmatched contacts are created or skipped. Captured company information can link People to the corresponding Company.

### Reschedules

The original booking is marked canceled and rescheduled. Its answers also become canceled. A new active booking is created, with new answer entries when the form is resubmitted. The original history remains.

## Fields

Payment and tracking fields stay blank when Calendly does not supply them.

- Link back to the parent Calendly Booking Events entry
- Link to the Person record the answer belongs to
- Event context: event name, start time, status

## Limitations

- The sync runs from Calendly to Attio. Edits in Attio do not change a Calendly booking.
- Events do not update Attio's native Last Interaction field or activity stream.
- Webhook delivery can be delayed. Verify significantly delayed events against the Calendly booking.

## Troubleshooting

### A booking is missing

Check the owner email and event type against the two whitelist settings. If Auto-create People is off, unknown invitees and guests are skipped.

### A rescheduled booking appears twice

This is expected. The canceled original and active replacement are kept as separate entries. Filter by status to show active bookings only.
