# Lemlist to Attio Sync

Enroll Attio People in Lemlist campaigns and sync subscribed Lemlist activity back to their Person records. Events and cumulative engagement fields are stored separately.

## Requirements

A Lemlist API key, campaigns for enrollment, the event categories to receive, and an Attio workspace for the custom app.

## Setup

1. **Choose campaigns and events** Confirm campaign coverage, event categories, enrichment defaults, People matching and any additional field mappings.
2. **Install the custom app and connect Lemlist** Add your Lemlist API key in the app's Workspace Settings.
3. **Provision Attio fields** The app creates the Lemlist events list and cumulative engagement fields. Inbound subscriptions remain off until enabled.
4. **Enable webhook subscriptions** In Workspace Settings » Webhook Subscriptions, choose events and click Save & Sync Lemlist. If Lemlist restricts webhook access on your plan, the app displays that response.
5. **Enroll People** Use Add to Lemlist campaign on a Person or a selection of People. Enrollment works once the key is connected, independently of inbound subscriptions.

## Configuration

## Sync behavior

### Outbound enrollment

Use **Add to Lemlist campaign**, select a campaign and choose the configured enrichment options. Available options include finding or verifying email, finding phone numbers, LinkedIn enrichment and deduplication across campaigns.

### Inbound activity

Subscribed events create entries on the Lemlist events list and update cumulative Person fields, such as interest status, paused state, unsubscribe time and last sync time.

### People matching

Events match People by email first, then LinkedIn URL. If neither matches, the default is to create a Person from the supplied identifiers. Auto-create can be disabled for a workspace that only accepts existing People.

### History and current state

The event list keeps individual activities and campaign context. Person fields show the current engagement state. Repeated deliveries are checked before writing another event.

## Limitations

- Inbound events are off at installation. Enable categories and save the subscriptions before expecting activity in Attio.
- Lemlist may restrict webhook management by plan. The integration displays the response rather than enabling unsupported subscriptions.
- Bulk enrollment supports up to 250 selected People.
- The default connection covers one Lemlist account and one Attio workspace.

## Troubleshooting

### No Lemlist activity appears

Check that the required event categories are enabled and Save & Sync Lemlist has completed. An API connection alone does not enable inbound events.

### Lemlist rejects an enrollment

The app displays Lemlist's response. Check whether the lead is already enrolled or whether cross-campaign deduplication is enabled.
