# Move note

Copies a note to another record and deletes the original.

## How it behaves

- Reads the source note, creates a new note on the target record with the same title, markdown content and meeting link, then deletes the source. The new note has a new ID and creation time. The deletion also starts Note deleted workflows, including workflows meant to react to a person deleting a note.
- The new note’s author is the app, not the original author. Comments and attachments on the original are not copied.
- If deleting the source fails, the step still succeeds: the source stays and the target has a copy.

## Errors

Fails when

- Empty source: `Wire or paste a source note ID.`
- No target: `Pick a target record (or wire a record variable).`
- Source missing: `Source note <id> not found (deleted or wrong ID).` (not retryable)

Move a note logged on a person to their company.

The outputs describe the new note, so Note ID differs from the source note ID.
