Real‑World Use Case
Customer Success Team at Acme Corp
Each week, reps send hundreds of onboarding emails and schedule dozens of 1:1s with new customers.
Without Integration:
- Sales managers are unable to see who when emails are sent, or to whcih companies, without clicking into each individually or sorting by "Last Interaction"
- Logging all interactions requires a workflow that burns through credits by mid-month
- Some reps forget to log interactions manually, leading to incomplete timelines
With Integration:
- Emails and meetings are captured automatically as interactions
- Each one appears on an Interaction History List in Attio
- No credits are used and no workflows need to be maintained
- Reporting can be created to understand Email and Meeting activity workspace-wide.
Result: Complete customer history, zero overhead, and infinite scale
FAQ
Q: Why not use workflows to log email and meeting activity?
A: Workflows consume credits. For high-volume orgs, this becomes expensive or unsustainable. This integration logs the same data without touching your quota.
Q: What data is logged?
A: Metadata only, and only the information available in Attio's UI already. For example, when the interaction took place, and with whom (whcih Attio user.)
Q: Is this actually real-time?
A: There's a small delay, so data is close to real-time, but in testing we've seen delays of ~20 minutes. This is a result of relying on Attio's webhooks for tracking data, rather than connecting to the source (Google or Outlook) for the interactions. As a result, it's possible that some interactions may not be logged if they happen in too-rapid of succession. In practice though, this is usually a small enough of a corner-case that it is unimportant.
Q: Can I customize which emails or events get logged?
A: Currently, all activity is logged if it matches a known contact.
Q: Does this include internal team emails?
A: No. Emails between teammates are filtered. This is an Attio setting
