Create folder

Creates a folder on a record, or reuses one with the same name.

The name has runs of whitespace (including line breaks) collapsed to one space and is trimmed.
Lists the record’s files first. A top-level folder with the same name (case-insensitive, trimmed) is reused; otherwise a new top-level folder is created.
Uses Attio’s Files API, which Attio marks as beta.

Folder name: names longer than 255 characters (counted as Unicode code points) are cut to 255 without an error. The cap is the app’s, not Attio’s.
Checks at most 2,000 file entries on the record (50 per page, 40 pages).

Fails when

No record: Pick a record (or wire a record variable).
Empty name: Folder name is empty. Check the value wired into Folder name.
Other provider: Storage provider "<x>" is not supported yet. Choose Attio.
Over 2,000 entries: an error that says the record has more than 2000 file entries, too many to verify whether the folder already exists, and to create the folder from the record’s Files panel instead (not retryable).

Cannot create nested folders, create folders in other storage providers, or upload files.

Create a diligence folder on each new deal, without duplicating it on reruns.

Newly created is false because a top-level folder named "diligence 2026" already existed; the match ignores case.
