Trigger · Notes
Note deleted
Starts a run when a note is deleted.
Attio events: note.deleted
Inputs
No configuration.
Outputs
| Label | Key | Type | Always set | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Note ID | note_id | Text | Yes | |
| Triggered at | triggered_at | Timestamp | Yes | |
| Deleted by | deleted_by | Actor | No | Present only when Attio sends an actor of a recognized type (workspace member, API token, system, app or workflow). |
| Parent record | parent | Record | Yes | If the app cannot resolve the parent’s object, the record is emitted with an empty object slug. |
How it behaves
- The note is not read from Attio (it is already gone). Title and content are not available.
- Also fires for the original note that this app’s Move note step deletes. A move is a copy followed by a deletion, so any workflow on this trigger runs for each move.
- Starts at most one run per note each time the workflow is turned on.
Errors
Triggers have no error branch. When something goes wrong inside a trigger, no run starts. See Troubleshooting.
Notes
- There is no Created by output, so you cannot filter out Move note’s deletions by author. Deleted by identifies who deleted the note, not who wrote it.
Example
Log an audit entry on the parent record when a note is deleted.
| Event | Value |
|---|---|
note.deleted | Sam Ortiz deletes a note from the person Priya Shah. |
| Output | Value |
|---|---|
| Note ID | 3d7e1f2a-9b4c-4e6d-8a1f-5c2b7e9d0a34 |
| Triggered at | 2026-10-07T17:05:09Z |
| Deleted by | Sam Ortiz (workspace member) |
| Parent record | Priya Shah (people) |
Move note also deletes the original note, so this trigger runs for every move too. Title and content are not available.
