Returns the first (primary) email, domain or phone number.
Inputs
| Label | Key | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Attribute type | attribute_type | Choice: Domain, Email address, Phone number | Yes | Variables cannot be wired into this input. The value inputs below change with the choice. |
| Values | <type>_values | Values of the chosen type | No |
Outputs
Branch Found (found)
| Label | Key | Type | Always set | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Primary | primary | Text | Yes | Lowercased. |
Branch Empty (empty)
No output fields.
How it behaves
- Takes the first value after normalization. No values takes the Empty branch.
Errors
Fails when
- Values is not wired for the chosen Attribute type. Wire a variable into Values.
- Values has entries but none can be read. The step fails rather than return an empty primary.
For errors that every step can return, see Troubleshooting.
Example
Use a person's first email address as the recipient of a follow-up.
| Input | Value |
|---|---|
| Attribute type | Email address |
| Values | Priya@Acme.com, p.shah@gmail.com |
| Output | Value |
|---|---|
| Primary | priya@acme.com |
The output is lowercased. With no values the run takes the Empty branch, which has no outputs.
